WELCOMING A NEW DAY!

Another day was about to start.

I was lying in bed and not wanting to rise up. The sun rays of the morning slowly entered my room filling the coolness with warmth. Its gentle gleam touched and caressed my skin. I smelled the sweet fragrance of the Ilang-ilang just outside my windows. Silence filled the air disrupted only by occasional singing of the birds. I continued to lie down dreaming that I was still in paradise, feeling that I was slowly rocked from a hammock.

Then came the music of the chimes, as if the day was announcing its presence outside my door. It was also a signal from an angel above reminding me of God’s presence around me. I was moved to fall on my knees and pray- giving thanks to the supreme Being and asking for graces for the day. ‘Thank you Lord. What a good day to start!’, I said to myself.

Feeling refreshed through the night, I am now ready to face the new day. Equipped with hope and faith in God, I believe I could conquer my fears and anxieties- of the challenges ahead.

Another day to start.

And I believe it will be a great day.

KALINAW!

Sa kalinaw, ako nakahuna-huna

Sa kamingaw, ako nakahinutuktok

Sa dihang mga panahuna,

Gusto ko isugit ug isinggit

Mga ginapaminsar ug gibati.

Mao kanang nahimo kini-

mga sinulat kong… PAMALANDONG.
